As a first-time, anxious mom, I had my reservations about sending our sweet girl to preschool. We had been through a LOT in the first 3 years of her life: a failed daycare placement that resulted in me leaving my career to keep her safe at home, a pandemic, and now a new baby at home. I had a million questions - all of which Thrasher Preschool Director Erin Edmondson answered with patience and kindness. Once we completed our tour of the school and asked a million more questions, we decided to enroll our daughter in Thrasher Preschool’s 3-Year-Old Program, electing for 3 half days per week. Our only regret was not enrolling her in FIVE days a week!

Our sweet girl has absolutely flourished at Thrasher. Being a pandemic kid with a stay at home mom and a work from home dad, everything she ever knew was within our home. The adjustment to being away from us for the first time was… a journey, to say the least. She’s a little girl with BIG feelings, and the team at Thrasher Preschool went above and beyond to help her fall in love with school. Mrs. Edmondson and our girl’s teachers worked closely with us to find creative solutions to help our girl feel comfortable at school. Before we knew it, she was excelling in every arena!

Now in her second year at Thrasher Preschool, we are blown away with how much she’s grown emotionally and academically. We chose Thrasher because of the school’s legacy of academic excellence and kindergarten readiness, and we are absolutely seeing both of those manifest beautifully in our child.

As an anxious mom, I really struggled with feeling comfortable with leaving my child with anyone after our failed daycare experience. Mrs. Edmondson helped ease so many of my worries by walking me through, step-by-step of the school’s safety procedures and policies. I truly believe with every fiber of my being that every member of the school’s staff loves my child as much as their own and would risk life and limb to keep her safe.

The communication between the school and parents/guardians of their students is top notch. Mrs. Edmondson is wonderful about sharing announcements to the full class, communicating individually with parents as needed, and creating calendars that are easy to read. Thrasher Preschool always has some sort of fun enrichment happening - whether that’s music class, a field trip, guest speakers, and activities.

Somehow, the school does SO much for the students and has high quality teachers while maintaining a competitive and fair tuition rate! We certainly want our children to have a great education and safe experience, but the low cost of the tuition was a HUGE factor in our decision to enroll. We are so thankful for everything we have found at Thrasher Preschool, because it’s not just a place for the children to learn - it’s an entire community that supports the WHOLE family.
